Trust in Fife, a homeless charity working throughout Fife, is seeking a motivated, forward-thinking person for the newly created post of Operations Supervisor (Housing Support).

Trust in Fife operates two homeless accommodation hostels in Kirkcaldy providing support and guidance to people aged over 16 who have found themselves homeless. They also provide support to people in the private rented sector through the Fife Private Rental Solutions (FPRS) team.

Their charity shop, The Cairn Centre, supports a team of volunteers and offers value for money products in the local community. All this helps them to work towards achieving our mission of taking positive steps towards assisting vulnerable and homeless people in Fife.

The role

The postholder will be a key member of the senior staff team with responsibilities relating to the positive and effective day-to-day management of operational support staff. Applicants are required to be interested in assisting clients through their homeless journey, have good communication skills, and be qualified to SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 9.

The successful applicant will be subject to a PVG Disclosure check, must have a current UK driving licence, and must be willing to apply for, and maintain, registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

A willingness to be part of an on call team is also a requirement.

Experience of working within the voluntary sector would be advantageous but not essential.

In return Trust in Fife offers:

  • 35 days annual leave.
  • Additional annual leave days after 5 years service.
