Closing date: 12.30pm, Friday 11 September 2026

Fife Forum is looking for a motivated and committed Local Area Coordinator to join its small Fife-wide team.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by working alongside adults aged 18+ to identify the support, opportunities and connections that best meet their individual circumstances, aspirations and goals.

About the role

As a Local Area Coordinator, you will work directly with individuals and, where appropriate, their families, networks, stakeholders and wider communities. Using a person-centred approach, you will help people build on their strengths, develop resilience and increase their connections and opportunities.

The role aims to support people at the right time and in the right way, helping to strengthen community capacity and potentially reduce or delay the need for statutory interventions.

You'll need to be comfortable managing your own workload and working with a degree of autonomy, while remaining part of a supportive and connected team.

They're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of providing one-to-one support using a Good Conversation and/or person-centred approach
  • The ability to provide relevant information, signposting and practical assistance
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a workload safely and efficiently
  • A commitment to promoting equality, inclusion and engagement
  • The ability to accurately record and report on work activity using IT software and systems
  • Creativity, energy and commitment when working with a broad range of people
  • The confidence and resilience to support people who may be vulnerable or experiencing challenging circumstances

What's on offer?

The post offers:

  • Salary of £27,580 per annum
  • 35 hours per week
  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • 5% employer pension contribution

This is a regulated role working with adults aged 18 and over.
