This course will enable you and your organisation to feel more confident in understanding the difference between equality and diversity. This can enable your organisation to recruit volunteers who can potentially bring along a vast amount of varied skills and knowledge that may support the skillset that you already have and boost the services you provide.

Included in this course

  • Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI)
  • Organisations' legal responsibilities
  • Unconscious bias
  • Barriers and enablers to volunteering
  • Monitoring EDI
  • Practical steps for your volunteer programme

Who should attend?

Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting or managing volunteers in their organisation. Your organisation should be providing a service in Fife.

In order to offer places to as many organisations as possible, we are only able to offer two places on each date to members of the same organisation. If your organisation would like to send more than 2 people, please get in touch with us to discuss options.

Additional Information

  • Notes from the session will be forwarded to all participants who complete a post-training evaluation form that will be e-mailed to you
