Created: 13/08/2026
News/Events Category: Funding and Finance
This item will show under the following categories: Health and Social Care

The fund supports planning and installation costs and aims to improve dignity, safety and community inclusion for disabled people, their family and their carers.

Access to toilet facilities is a fundamental human right. However, for some people with additional access needs, this right is not always met or met with dignity. Changing Places

Toilets are larger fully accessible toilets designed to meet the needs of disabled people who need carer support and specialist equipment to use the facilities and have their personal care needs met, fulfilling this basic human right for them.

The fund supports organisations  with project costs, and up to £10,000 in development costs, associated with building a Changing Places Toilet.

One of last year's fund recipients was Knockhill Racing Circuit, enabling them to install facilities for individuals and families.
