The Robertson Trust Awarded £23.7 Million to Scotland's Third Sector in 2025/26

The Robertson Trust has announced that it awarded £23,714,225 to 520 organisations across Scotland during 2025/26, providing vital support to charities and community groups working to tackle poverty and its long-term impacts.

As one of Scotland's largest independent funders, The Robertson Trust invests in organisations and initiatives that help prevent and reduce poverty and the trauma often associated with it. Its funding supports projects that make a lasting difference to individuals, families and communities across the country.

The Trust's funding focuses on four key priorities:

  1. Financial Security – tackling the financial and material impacts of poverty.
  2. Education Pathways – helping people develop the learning and skills they need for the future.
  3. Work Pathways – supporting access to fair, sustainable employment and removing barriers to work.
  4. Nurturing Relationships – strengthening families and communities through healthy, trusting relationships that help break the cycle of persistent poverty and intergenerational trauma.

The Robertson Trust offers a wide range of funding opportunities to meet the needs of organisations of different sizes and stages. These include:

  • Large Grants
  • Small Grants
  • Transport Grants
  • Wee Grants
  • Community Spaces Grants
  • Big Change Grants

Funding awarded to Fife's third sector 

The Robertson Trust awarded £472,000 of grant funding to organisations in Fife. Fife accounts for just 1.9% of grants awarded in 2025/26.
