This is an exciting opportunity to help protect and enhance public access to some of Fife's most valued natural spaces while supporting the delivery of the Trust's statutory responsibilities.

If you're organised, confident, and enjoy building positive relationships to resolve challenges, they'd love to hear from you.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Access Officer, you'll help deliver FCCT's statutory access responsibilities across Fife, ensuring the Trust meets its obligations under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 and related service agreements.

  • Supporting projects that improve access to Fife's countryside for everyone

About you

They're looking for someone who is:

  • Educated to SCQF Level 6 (HNC or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as Countryside Management, or who has equivalent relevant experience
  • Knowledgeable about outdoor access legislation, particularly the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 and the Scottish Outdoor Access Code
  • Experienced in conflict resolution or mediation
  • An excellent communicator with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage their own workload
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Passionate about protecting and improving access to the outdoors

Why join FCCT?

Fife Coast and Countryside Trust is passionate about protecting, enhancing and promoting Fife's unique natural environment. The Trust delivers projects that benefit both people and nature, creating healthier communities and protecting the landscapes that make Fife such a special place.

At FCCT, you'll join a supportive, values-driven organisation that recognises its people are its greatest asset.

Benefits include:

  • 25 days' annual leave plus 8 public holidays
  • Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
  • Flexible working options
  • Employee wellbeing support
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Technology purchase schemes
  • Retail, leisure and lifestyle discounts
  • All essential PPE, outdoor clothing and equipment provided where required
  • A welcoming and inclusive working environment committed to equality, diversity and inclusion
