Help Care for More Than 5,500 Newly Planted Trees at Lucky Ewe
Created: 29/07/2026Last winter, Lucky Ewe planted more than 5,500 native trees and 150 apple trees to help create a greener, more sustainable future. Now, those young trees need a helping hand to thrive.
They're looking for volunteers to join them for a series of friendly tree care sessions, helping to weed around the saplings, reset tree guards and give the next generation of woodland the best possible start.
No experience is needed. At the start of each session, the team will demonstrate everything you need to know, and you can work alongside others or independently – whatever suits you best.
As well as making a real difference to the environment, it's a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, meet new people, and be part of an inspiring community project. And, of course, there'll be refreshments and homemade cake to enjoy during or after the session!
Sessions begin at the Agri Learning Centre (Barn).
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy boots, and bring gloves, a hat, sunscreen, midge repellent, waterproofs and a reusable water bottle. All tools and protective equipment will be provided.
Every volunteer makes a difference, and whether you can spare one afternoon or attend multiple sessions, your support will help ensure these young trees flourish for years to come.
To book your place, email [email protected]. The team would love to welcome you along.
