    K107FM is Kirkcaldy's award-winning community radio station, amplifying local voices and strengthening connections across the Fife area. They're expanding their outreach, deepening community partnerships, and growing opportunities for people to get involved, and they're looking for a passionate Community Engagement & Volunteer Training Coordinator to help drive that mission.

    You'll lead the station's community-facing work, building relationships, supporting volunteers, and delivering high-quality training that empowers people to develop skills and contribute meaningfully to local broadcasting.

    This position is funded for an initial 12-month period. Continuation beyond this timeframe is dependent on future funding, and the successful candidate will play a key role in demonstrating the community benefit, social gain, and volunteer development outcomes that support ongoing sustainability.

    The role is based in Kirkcaldy, with regular travel to local venues, organisations, schools, charities, and community groups across the town and wider Fife area as part of outreach and partnership development.

    Key responsibilities

    • Community engagement strategy - Develop and implement plans to increase awareness and participation.
    • Partnership building - Work with schools, charities, organisations, and community groups across Fife.
    • Volunteer recruitment - Attract, induct, and support volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
    • Training delivery - Create and run sessions covering radio production, broadcasting, compliance, and media skills.
    • Mentoring & support - Track progress and provide ongoing guidance.
    • Outreach events - Organise workshops, open days, and community showcases.
    • Record-keeping - Maintain accurate training and volunteer records for reporting.
    • Promotion - Contribute to social media and campaigns highlighting community involvement.
    • Ensure all activities align with Ofcom's criteria for community benefit, social gain, and volunteer development.

    Essential experience in community engagement, volunteer coordination, or training delivery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and planning abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. Understanding of the role of community radio in local development.

    Desirable experience in radio, media, or creative industries. Knowledge of Ofcom regulations and community radio compliance. Familiarity with Fife's communities and local networks.
