A new survey has been launched by LGBT Youth Scotland to gather the views and experiences of LGBTQ+ young people aged 13-25 about what life in Scotland is like today.
LGBT Youth Scotland is doing this research to improve lives for Scottish LGBTQ+ communities. The survey aims to provide a snapshot across many areas of life, including education, the NHS, mental health, coming out, safety, work, home life, representation, and the media.
Who can take part?
If you are aged 13-25, identify as LGBTQ+, and live in Scotland, they are interested in hearing about your experiences.
Why take the survey?
- Turn your experiences into real change.
- They will use the research findings to influence the Scottish Government, Education Scotland, the NHS, and other decision-makers to make life in Scotland better for LGBTQ+ young people.
- It’s important that we hear from a wide range of people from across Scotland to make sure the research is representative of what’s happening in the real world for our diverse LGBTQ+ communities.
- Because the survey covers so much it will take around 20-40 minutes to complete. It’s long, but it’ll be worth it!
- They have done a Life in Scotland project every five years since 2007 and the results have been used in decision making at all levels across the country, to recommend & evidence change to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ young people.
