FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local service providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.
Fuel poverty continues to be a significant problem for those struggling to make ends meet in Fife, and the increases in electricity bill costs from three years ago have not significantly changed since then. Many Fife residents are still finding it tough to heat their homes in the winter months.
At this session, Michael Hildrew from Cosy Kingdom will give participants a detailed overview of support available for those in fuel poverty in Fife, including:
- What is fuel poverty, the causes, effects and who is at risk
- Rising energy prices, what it means and has meant, for those most at risk from fuel poverty
- How to identify the signs of fuel poverty in the people you work with
- How the energy advice services can help people in Fife who are experiencing fuel poverty
