After a challenging period for volunteering, new data from the Scottish Household Survey (SHS 2024) and SCVOs Third Sector Tracker suggest that volunteering in Scotland may be entering a period of recovery. But while the direction of travel is positive, the picture is far from uniform and the sector still faces significant pressures. Volunteer Scotland have pulled together some key findings around the recovery of volunteering in Scotland.
