Crail Community Partnership Win Climate Impact Award at Scottish Charity Awards 2026

Congratulations to Crail Community Partnership for winning the Climate Impact Award at the Scottish Charity Awards 2026!
Their win was announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 11 June in Glasgow. Run annually by Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), the awards celebrates the best of the voluntary sector.
The Crail Community Partnership arose after a two year long community consultation about the village's future. Maintaining and enhancing its natural environment and promoting sustainability in Crail came top of a big list of wants.
Since then this organisation acquired 15 ha of land creating new meadows, woodlands and wetlands.The Crail Community Partnership took over ownership of Crail’s community hall and adopted energy saving technology and behaviour throughout the building, inspiring Crail to do the same. Last year, the organisation also registered one of Scotland’s first Local Place Plans, with sustainability and action for climate change as core of its future vision for Crail.

Special mention also for the generous Crail community that has supported numerous Crowdfunding projects during the past five years.”
