    Participants will:

    • Develop a clearer understanding of mental health and common mental health problems
    • Learn how to approach and support someone who may be struggling
    • Build confidence to have supportive conversations and offer initial help
    • Understand boundaries, self‑care, and when and how to signpost to further support

The course is interactive and reflective, with a mix of facilitated discussion, scenarios, and group activities to support practical learning. Emphasis is placed on compassion, reducing stigma, and supporting people with dignity and respect.
