  • Fife Gingerbread’s Day2Play Appeal Returns for 2026

    Created: 28/05/2026
    News/Events Category: Children and Families

Fife Gingerbread is passionate about supporting families and making lasting change - and tackling child poverty is at the heart of their approach.

Their vision is to create better todays and brighter tomorrows for lone parents and families in need.

Their Day2Play appeal funds days out for children across Fife - every penny goes towards creating memories and having fun.

Over the years, they have held family fund days, had train trips to the beach, and taken families to the zoo. All things we take for granted as a normal part of childhood, but not always possible for children living in poverty.

Now in its fifth year, Day2Play has been vital in giving local children happy memories in the summer months.

Connor, aged 8 from Lochgelly, said "We went to the Deer Farm and saw all the animals! I made new friends and my mum was happy with her friends from Gingerbread. it was great fun. I told my teacher at school, and she said it sounded amazing - it was our holiday."

Local businesses, Community Groups and the public can support the appeal by donating here.

To speak to Fife Gingerbread about the contact, please contact Kirsty Mackerracher, Fundraising Coordinator, at [email protected]
