    Fife Business Diversity Awards are now open and the awards ceremony is due to take place on Friday 27 November 2026 at The Rothes Halls, Glenrothes.

    This year’s theme is: A Phoenix “rising from the ashes”

    The award categories are listed below:

    Employee award
    This is for nominees in paid work, the awards committee would like to hear about individuals who have overcome significant disadvantages, disabilities, health conditions, personal, physical or social barriers and undertaken a range of activities to find a paid job.

    Achiever award
    This is for nominees on their journey to work and still in search of a paid job, the awards committee would like to hear about individuals who have overcome significant disadvantages, disabilities, health conditions, personal, physical or social barriers and have undertaken a range of activities whilst on their journey to find a paid job. 

    Employer award
    This is for Fife-based employers, the awards committee would like to hear about based in Fife who are engaging with one or more of Fife’s Employability Pathway Providers and undertaking any of the following for pathway clients:

    • Providing voluntary opportunities, work experience or paid employment
    • Hosting site visits or delivering employer sessions
    • Offering mock interviews or mentorship
    • Working in partnership with an employability provider
    • Sponsoring/providing Community Wealth Building commitment linked to employability outcomes
    • Or other activities to promote and support employability journeys

    In addition, the committee would like to hear about the business commitments to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Work that can be shown through policy or practice such as:

    • DWP Disability Confident status levels 1, 2 or 3, Investors in People or Inclusive Workplace awards
    • In-house initiatives to encourage good health at work
    • Staff undertake equality, diversity and disability awareness training
    • Sponsorship of local groups such as football teams
    • Allowing employees to volunteer in the community

    Employability award

    This is for employability providers, the awards committee would like to hear about new, innovative or improved programmes and opportunities that increase people’s engagement and progress on the pathway to work.  

    Nominees must be delivering provision in Fife and providing employability support for people living in Fife who experience multiple disadvantages and intersectionality challenges that affects their chances of finding a job.
