    Applications for Big Give’s Christmas Challenge 2026 are now open.

    The Christmas Challenge is the UK’s biggest match funding campaign, helping charities double public donations during the festive season. By bringing together Champion funders, major donors, and the public, the campaign unlocks vital funding and multiplies impact at scale. In 2025, more than 1,500 charities raised a record £57.4 million in just one week.

    Early applications are encouraged to give charities the best chance to secure pledges and prepare a strong campaign.

    To support applicants, Big Give is also running free webinars:

    Christmas Challenge 2026 Introduction webinar - Wednesday 20 May from 12pm (midday) - 1pm. An overview of how the campaign works, what makes a strong application, and how to approach the pledge phase. Register your place here.

    Securing your pledges webinar - Wednesday 03 June from 12pm (midday) - 1pm. Practical tips and advice on approaching major donors to secure pledges. Register your place here
