  • Flexibility Works - Flexible Workplace Accreditation Scheme

    Created: 16/04/2026
    News/Events Category: Employability

The Flexible Workplace Accreditation Scheme, developed by Flexibility Works with support from the Robertson Trust, recognises organisations that are making flexible working work well. Following a successful pilot with ten Scottish organisations across a range of sectors, the accreditation is now open to all. Pilot participants said the process was "simple, straightforward and not onerous" and many were surprised to discover they were already further along than they thought. Everyday flexibility, already embedded in how teams work, counts.

The benefits are clear: better staff retention, stronger engagement, and workplaces where people can manage caring responsibilities, protect their wellbeing, and progress in their careers.

If you think this might be relevant to your organisation, or you're just curious, it's well worth taking a closer look. You might be closer to accreditation than you realise.
