Lang Toun Fest Returns for 2026 with a Month-Long Celebration of Kirkcaldy
Created: 19/03/2026Kirkcaldy’s flagship summer festival, Lang Toun Fest, will return in 2026 with a vibrant, month-long programme running from 5 June to 5 July. Now firmly established as one of Fife’s most ambitious community festivals, the 2026 edition will span five weekends of culture, creativity, and celebration across the Lang Toun.
Organised by the Lang Toun Partners, a collaborative group of Kirkcaldy-based organisations, the festival brings together the town’s venues, businesses, artists, and community groups to showcase the very best of local talent and activity.
Building on the success of last year, the 2026 programme will feature a diverse mix of music, arts, heritage, performance, workshops, family events, talks, food, wellbeing activities, and more. The festival’s open-programme model ensures that the community shapes the event from the ground up.
Local organisations, groups, and venues are once again invited to submit events for inclusion in the official Lang Toun Fest programme.
Submissions can be made directly via the festival website: Langtounfest.com
Events received before the print deadline will appear in the official printed programme, with further listings added to the online programme in the lead-up to June.
The Lang Toun Partners welcome submissions that reflect the spirit of the festival; inclusive, community-focused, imaginative, and proudly rooted in Kirkcaldy.
Lang Toun Fest continues to grow, drawing residents and visitors alike into a celebration of Kirkcaldy’s identity, heritage, and future. With events taking place across multiple venues and public spaces, the festival aims to support local businesses, strengthen community connections, and shine a spotlight on the town’s creative energy.
A spokesperson for the Lang Toun Partners said: “Lang Toun Fest is becoming a highlight of Kirkcaldy’s cultural calendar, and we’re excited to bring it back for 2026. Public discussions over the future of Kirkcaldy often mention events as both a focus and a need, this is therefore an opportunity to showcase what the town can do. The festival thrives because it’s shaped by the people of Kirkcaldy, and we can’t wait to see the ideas, events, and collaborations that emerge this year.”
