This online webinar delivered by the Supporting the Third Sector Project team at Children in Scotland provides an overview of the Scottish policy context relevant to the third sector’s work with children, young people, and families. This will involve an introduction to Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), children’s rights, and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and an exploration of how these key policies fit within the wider policy framework.
The key learning will include:
- Recognising the background to UNCRC and the four general principles
- Introducing key elements of the wider Scottish policy context, including the National Performance Framework
- The opportunity for attendees to reflect on their own practice.
This training is aimed at Scotland’s third sector workforce.
