    The River Park, a project by The Leven Programme, are offering a Heritage and Archaeology Employability Course. 

    The course offers structured training in fieldwork, research, and transferable skills that can be used in a wide range of different sectors. 

    Designed to enhance employability, this programme provides practical experience to help build your CV and connect with industry professionals - all while exploring fascinating heritage sites. No prior experience is required. 

    About the course

    The first course of this programme takes place 23 February - 06 May 2026 and is a 10-week block of on-site work training and indoor learning. 

    The course will cover archaeology basics, site safety, interpretation and transferable skills. It's designed to enhance a range of skills that are useful for the workplace. 

    The course will be delivered twice a week - Mondays and Wednesdays, four hours per days, totalling 80 contact hours.
