Following the success of Youth 1st's b:connected programme funded through the Community Health and Wellbeing Fund, Youth 1st are excited to be seeking a Training and Wellbeing Coordinator to continue and expand this important work across Years 5 and 6. This is a rewarding opportunity to support volunteers, youth workers, and sector leaders across Fife - helping those who support others to reconnect, recharge and feel inspired again.

    The role

You will coordinate and deliver a programme of support sessions, workshops, training, and events for people working and volunteering in the voluntary youth work sector across Fife. Your work will focus on improving health and wellbeing.

The role includes two key strands:

    • Leadership support sessions - creating safe, supportive spaces for third sector leaders to connect, seek peer support, and reduce stress and burnout
    • Health and wellbeing workshops - organising and/or delivering sessions based (but not limited to) on the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, supporting volunteers and youth workers to improve their own wellbeing and build confidence in supporting the young people they work with

The project will culminate in a large Health and Wellbeing Event in March 2028 for the youth work sector across Fife.

Youth 1st is looking for someone who:

    • Has experience in the voluntary, community, or youth work sector
    • Is confident facilitating groups and building positive relationships
    • Has a strong understanding of health and wellbeing (or willingness to develop this)
    • Is organised, proactive, and able to manage events and programmes
    • Brings empathy, warmth, and genuine passion for supporting those who support others

    Why apply?

Many volunteers and youth workers are emotionally exhausted after several extremely challenging years. This role offers a chance to make a real, lasting difference - strengthening the people who hold communities together and improving outcomes for young people across Fife.

    How to apply

All recruitment information can be found on their website: https://www.youth1st.co.uk/recruitment

Please e-mail your supporting statement and CV to [email protected]

Interviews will take place during the week of 16 February 2026.

The closing date for applications is 5.00pm on Friday 06 February 2026.
