    Created: 06/08/2025
    News/Events Category: General News

Cash Access UK will open a brand-new banking hub in Cowdenbeath to ensure there is no gap in service with access to cash when the last bank in town closes.

The hub is located at 92 High Street, Cowdenbeath KY4 9NF - formerly the TSB building.

Cash Access UK is a not-for-profit company funded by major high street banks. They provide cash and basic banking services in communities across the UK. These include shared banking hubs and deposit services, but they're also working with suppliers to test brand-new services so they can meet a wider range of needs over time.

The current community banker rota for the Cowdenbeath hub is as follows:

    • Monday - Barclays
    • Tuesday - Virgin
    • Wednesday - TSB
    • Thursday – Royal Bank of Scotland
    • Friday – Bank of Scotland

The hub officially opens at 12.00pm on Friday 08 August 2025.
