    Created: 24/06/2025
News/Events Category: Health and Social Care

The ALLIANCE has announced 31 new projects receiving Scottish Government funding through Self Management for Life, Round 2, the latest round of the Self Management Fund for Scotland.

The Self Management Fund aims to empower people living with long term conditions, disabled people and unpaid carers to take control their health, care and wellbeing.

Projects will begin from June 2025, running for 1-3 years, and aim to support people at an early stage of their journey with a long term condition, disability or unpaid caring responsibility, address health inequalities and facilitate self management for people on NHS waiting lists.

Sara Redmond, Chief Officer of Development at the ALLIANCE, said:

“The strength and diversity of projects in this round reflects the best of Scotland’s third sector. We are pleased to continue to support self management, a critical component of person-centred care, through the fund, and continue our focus on ensuring that people have access to the benefits of self management as early as possible.”

This investment from the Self Management Fund, administered by the ALLIANCE, is made possible by the continued support and investment from the Scottish Government.
