Pregnancy loss and baby death have a significant impact on the workplace. Research suggests:

    • 50% of adults said that they or someone they know, had experienced at least one form of pregnancy or baby loss
    • 52% did not feel fully supported by colleagues and managers at work
    • 18% said that could access their employers HR Baby Loss policy

Sands understand that conversations surrounding bereavement, and specifically around pregnancy and baby loss can be difficult. They also know that navigating legal requirements around pregnancy loss and baby death can be particularly complicated.

Their training is therefore designed to help managers and colleagues understand pregnancy loss and baby death, find the words to support bereaved staff and navigate relevant employment law.

They have various tools available including modular learning films which feature the experiences of bereaved parents going back to work, and the insight of HR professionals to support your organisation build an environment of support and low stress.
