Migration Policy Scotland has been gathering evidence about Financial Disadvantage in Migrant Households and is seeking ways to tackle these including through improved access to mainstream advice and support services.

Through partnership work with both migrant-focused and mainstream support organisations, they are developing a new training offer on intercultural communication, delivered in partnership with migrant-focused organisations.

The aim is to support mainstream advice and support services to be more inclusive, accessible, and effective when working with migrant communities.

They have developed and  launched a survey seeking inputs and views from services across Scotland on training needs, priorities, and preferred delivery formats.

They are keen to ensure that any training offer answers a need, and that it can be adapted for organisations of different sizes and areas of work.
