We're delighted to announce the host of this year's Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards - Marion Todd!

Marion is the author of nine books in the DI Clare Mackay crime series. A native of Dundee she moved to Fife in the 1980s and hasn’t looked back since. She has also worked as a piano teacher, a candlemaker and a college lecturer, all roles that provided excellent fodder for her books.

Marion’s first novel, See Them Run, was shortlisted for the Scottish Crime Debut of the Year in 2020 and since then she has sold over half a million books.

When not writing Marion is involved with her local In Bloom Committee, helping to co-ordinate twice yearly planting. As a pianist she has accompanied a Scottish Three Tenors charity event at Dundee Rep and played alongside Peter Morrison in the Gardyne Theatre, raising money for the RNLI. Her current work in progress is attempting to train her unruly but extremely lovable dog.

The awards take place on Tuesday 03 June 2025 at The Bay Hotel, Kinghorn. The awards are by invitation only but we will share updates about the winners on our Facebook page live on the night so you can follow along.
