    To celebrate Volunteers' Week 2025, we have a range of events that you can take part in whether you're a volunteer, voluntary organisation, or thinking about volunteering.

    If you're unable to attend any events, you can get in touch with us at any time. E-mail [email protected] or call 0800 389 6046 and one of our volunteering team can chat to you about the volunteering opportunities that are available and match some of them to your goals. Whether it's volunteering with animals, helping at a community cafe, or becoming a trustee, there's something for everyone! 

    Tuesday 03 June 

    Lunchtime Learning - Recruiting the Volunteers You Need
    12.00 - 1.00pm, online

    Ken Fisher, Volunteering Development Officer at FVA, will guide us through:

    • How to be clear about what kind of volunteer you need (skills, attributes, experience etc)
    • How to explain the benefits of volunteering, including what support you are offering as part of that process (e.g., induction, training)
    • How to make best use of Fife Voluntary Action’s registration process and website to promote your volunteering opportunity
    • How to maximise your networks and local resources to get your opportunity the exposure it needs
    • How to encourage the right volunteers towards your organisation, using your role description to break down potential barriers

    Who should attend? Anyone working for a voluntary organisation who recruits and manages volunteers. 

    Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards **This event is by invitation only

    The awards champion the truly exceptional work of volunteers and voluntary organisations in Fife. The 16 categories recognise the incredible contribution and outstanding volunteering, shining a light on the success stories and brilliant people and organisations behind volunteering.

    Fife‘s Volunteering Development Summit
    10.00am - 3.00pm, Caledonia House Glenrothes

    Come along to Caledonia House, Glenrothes on Thursday 05 June 2025 to hear the latest updates on volunteering development, take part in hot topic discussions to ensure your voice is heard, and make connections with other volunteer coordinators and managers. Learn about strategies, tools, frameworks and resources which you can use to improve and enhance your practice. 

    Who should attend? Anyone working for a voluntary organisation who recruits and manages volunteers. 

     

    Friday 06 June 

    Volunteer Open Day 
    10.00am - 4.00pm, Community Support Hub Dunfermline 

    To celebrate Volunteers' Week 2025, we are hosting a volunteers open day at the Community Support Hub in Dunfermline. 

    Everyone is invited to pop into our volunteering shop to explore volunteering opportunities, sign up to training, and discover how volunteering can change your life. 

    Who should attend? Anyone interested in learning more about volunteering!
