The Trust currently offers funding across five categories including:

Youth Opportunities – the largest category aiming to support charities that help socio-economically disadvantaged children and young people aged 25 and under to develop life skills that enable them to thrive and foster employability skills and skills to succeed at school. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and Trustee meetings are held in February, June and October. It is recommended to apply at least 3 months in advance of the meeting that considers the application.

General Welfare – supports a wide range of charities that work with people from lower-income households and in communities with high levels of poverty with particular interest in strengthening and supporting family relationships; work with offenders, especially young offenders, with a focus on desistance; helping young homeless people to move forward; the welfare of those who care for others; and developing tolerance and understanding between faiths and communities and the promotion of social cohesion.

Conservation – supports charities working to support the health and resilience of the UK’s wildlife habitat. This work focuses on protecting, planting and sympathetically managing trees and native woodlands and protecting coastal and marine environments.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.  Trustee meetings are held in February, June and October. It is recommended that you apply at least three months in advance of a Trustee meeting.
