  • Fife Health and Social Care Partnership: The Life Curve

    Created: 15/05/2025
News/Events Category: Health and Social Care
This item will show under the following categories: Carer Support

Fife Health and Social Care Partnership have published The Life Curve, a simple visual prompt that explains the decline of everyday mobility and functions once people become older or more frail.

The Life Curve is not inevitable and they stress that, with help and support, people can remain on the same level for much longer with some simple adjustments, exercises, mobility aids, or support.

The Life Curve can be used to support anyone currently on a waiting list, awaiting diagnosis or worried about losing independence or mobility. It is not age specific and instead focuses on whether people feel confident enough to carry out the everyday tasks on the curve or not.
