    Location: Kirkcaldy, with regular travel in Fife

     

    Fife International Forum (FIF) is a charity focussed on supporting migrant and refugee communities across Fife. They aim to address poverty, social mobility, and employment challenges for those who have moved away from their usual place of residence. Their vision is to create a sustainable, collaborative forum where individuals can make a positive impact on their lives. They promote engagement, participation, and social cohesion, guided by a human rights approach.

    The role

    FIF is looking for an additional experienced Operations Manager to coordinate and deliver their operational services to drive their strategic vision, champion equality, diversity, and inclusion, to ensure the continuing success of our organisation.

    The Operations Manager is a key operational role within the organisation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing staff within a diverse team, as well as strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills, including people whose first language is not English, and be confident in building community relationships. A high standard of English, strong IT skills, and experience in report writing, project management, and budgeting are essential. A relevant degree or equivalent experience, and a valid UK driving licence with access to a car, are required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Planning, organising, and coordinating all aspects of operational processes, people, and systems to ensure that services are consistently delivered and maintained.
    • Designing and creating effective processes and plans of action for all services. Monitoring and adjusting service processes within financial limits.
    • Leading and managing a team of caseworkers, and other staff developing and training staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and experience to carry out their roles effectively.
    • Establishing and maintaining a detailed overview of service delivery, monitoring metrics and beneficiary feedback to drive the continuous improvement of service delivery.
