    Make Your Mark spoke with Jen Novotny, Scottish Civic Trust’s Diverse Heritage Officer, about her top tips for involving LGBTQ+, BAME and refugee volunteers with heritage projects.

    Jen gave the following tips for diversifying volunteer programmes:

    • Establish a mutually beneficial partnership
    • Discuss together how you can remove barriers to volunteering
