Dementia Carers Education Programme
Created: 10/04/2025Come along to an informal dementia carers group to learn about caring for someone with dementia.
The groups are a chance to talk to other carers and staff working in dementia care over a cup of tea.
Topics covered in the group include carers rights, supporting independence, psychological distress in dementia, social care, moving into a care home, effective communication strategies in dementia, managing carer stress, brain health, palliative care, and much more.

Who should attend?
Anyone caring for a family member or friend living with dementia.
About the sessions
The sessions are held on a Wednesday afternoon from 1.30 until 3.30. They are held at Alzheimer Scotland brain Health and Dementia Resource Centre - in Kirkcaldy bus station, behind Stance 7.
You don't have to attend all sessions, just pop along when you feel it would be helpful.
You are welcome to bring the person with dementia that you care for. A separate room will be available where Alzheimer Scotland staff will provide engaging activities.
