Firewalk Fundraiser raises funds for five Fife charities
Created: 01/04/2025The Firewalk Fundraiser in Fife on 19 February was a resounding success, raising vital funds and awareness for several local charities. Held at Balbirnie House Hotel, Markinch, the event was the perfect example of what happens when local charities unite — supporting each other, combining efforts, and making a real impact for great causes.
The event raised funds for Fife Young Carers, Fife Gingerbread, Fife Women's Aid, Clued Up, and Greener Kirkcaldy.
Proceeds from the firewalk will go towards helping these charities continue their important work supporting individuals and families in Fife. Staff, volunteers and those receiving support all took part and shared an experience they all enjoyed!
Chris Mantle from Fife Young Carers said “For our young carers, the firewalk challenge symbolises their resilience and strength. We are delighted with the fundraising support, as it helps us to provide person-centred support to the ever-growing numbers of Young Carers in Fife."
Kirsty Makin from Greener Kirkcaldy said "I loved taking part - it was so much fun! The whole event had a positive vibe and made me challenge my mind set. I enjoyed taking part with other like-minded charities.”
In total, the event raised £8,595, exceeding the original fundraising goal and surpassing expectations.
