Think Again! New Fife-wide campaign about the dangers of casual drug use

Fife’s Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) is asking young people to Think Again! about casual or occasional drug use with its new campaign developed with input from young people in Fife.
Drugs are always unpredictable. There’s always a risk in taking drugs – even ones someone has tried before.
Drugs that haven’t been prescribed and on the illegal drugs markets aren’t regulated – so you don’t know exactly what’s in them. And if you mix them with other things like alcohol, the risk goes up.
Don’t take a chance and Think Again!
Knowing what to do for a friend in case of an emergency, acting fast and not being afraid to talk to healthcare professionals is vital.
In an emergency we want people to remember these four things:
- If you’re around someone who becomes unwell after taking drugs or alcohol, call 999 immediately
- Getting help is essential – don’t delay because you are worried you’ll get into trouble
- Be as honest as possible about what was taken, how much and when
- Stay with the person who is unwell until help arrives from trained healthcare professionals
Find out more from a trusted source. They want young people, parents and carers know where to go to feel informed about the potential harms and where to go for help and support. Trusted websites include We Are With You that provide information, advice and where to go for help.
