    National Churches Trust support the UK's churches to maintain their historic sites and buildings, preserving and promoting their heritage to ensure churches remain accessible to all. 

    The trust's grants are available towards urgent and essential maintenance and repair projects. They will also support project development and investigative work up to RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) planning stage 1, to support churches preparing for a major project, and in developing their project to the point at which they can approach a major grant funder.

    Grant Size : Up to £10,000

    Works Cost : £20,000 - £80,000 (including VAT and fees)

    Who can apply?

    Places of worship of any denomination and age can apply. They will consider applications from listed and unlisted Christian places of worship across the UK.

    How to apply

    The first step of the process is to take the eligibility test and then apply online via the Trust's website.

    The closing date for applications is Tuesday 15 April 2025.
