    Hours: 9.00am-4.00pm, Monday to Friday
    Salary: £22,250 per annum 
    Location: St David's Building, East Sands, St Andrews

     

    Are you an experienced catering assistant, commis chef or cook that takes pride in your work? Are you looking for your next challenge without split shifts and anti-social hours? North East Fife Community Hub is currently recruiting a Cook to join their passionate, hard-working and friendly team, to create delicious meals for their customers. By joining the hub, you’ll also become part of their extended family. You’ll work alongside other team members who seek to provide good food, care, warmth, and kindness to all those who use the community cafe and hub.

    The Role 

    • Day-to-day running of the kitchen, preparing and serving food 
    • Creating a varied and attractive menu 
    • Agreeing budgets and menu options with the Hub Manager 
    • Co-operating closely with colleagues within a busy community facility
    • Ordering and maintaining stock levels 
    • Complying with food hygiene and other regulatory standards, including record keeping

    About You 

    • Background in catering 
    • Food safety and hygiene certificate level 2 minimum and prepared to complete level 3 
    • Knowledge and understanding of food allergies and safe food storage 
    • Proven ability to deliver high standards of food and presentation 
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
    • Works well under pressure 
    • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks and manage own workload 
    • Willing to undergo PVG check 

    The post holder may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the salary and competence requirements of this post.
