    Are you aged 16–25 and live in the UK? Apply for a £500 Grow Wild grant to bring your nature project to life this summer!

    The fund is calling on young individuals to come up with a project idea to champion UK native plants and/or fungi.  

    Whether you're into sowing or sewing, photography or video making, science or cooking - if you've got an idea, they want to hear from you. 

    Grow Wild is the national outreach programme of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, working in partnership with communities across the UK. They contribute to Kew's mission to understand and protect plants and fungi for the wellbeing of people and the future of all life on Earth.  

    What You Get

    • A £500 grant for your project: This can be used for anything you might need from materials, equipment, resources to helpful training. 
    • Support, online sessions, and resources from Grow Wild
    • Opportunities to connect with other participants across the UK and see your project featured in a collective portfolio
    • The chance to complete Kew's Young Environmental Leader Award designed to work alongside their Grow Wild project and recognise your achievements

    Who can apply?

    Young people between 14 and 25 years old can apply but must nominate a youth, community, or education-focused organisation to receive the money. Money cannot be placed in personal bank accounts or private business bank accounts.

    Applications currently open. Next deadline for applications is 3pm on 19 March 2025

    How to apply

    If you are under 18, please firstly obtain permission from a parent or guardian before getting started on your application. 

    The closing date for applications is 3.00pm on Wednesday 19 March 2025.

    Projects can be started in May and must be completed by the end of October 2025.
