    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance
This item will show under the following categories: Employability

The Thomas Wall Trust believes that communication skills are critical capabilities for people who want to improve their employment prospects, self-confidence, resilience, and life chances.

The Trust offer grants to specific projects or core activities that develop these critical life skills for people from disadvantaged groups.

They welcome proposals that target people experiencing multiple deprivation or other groups demonstrably facing major hurdles to employment, especially women, people with physical, mental, or learning disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers.

They will fund projects for a charity that equips disadvantaged people (aged 18 and over) with the necessary communication skills ready for employment, and prioritise match funded projects and self-sustainable projects which aim to become less reliant on grants in the future.

    Who can apply

Charities that have been registered for at least three years. They will fund a project for a charity that equips disadvantaged people (aged 18 and over) with the necessary communication skills ready for employment.

    Minimum annual income: £25,000

    Maximum annual income: £500,000

    How to apply

The application process is divided into two stages:

    2. If successful, you will be invited to stage two where applicants will be asked to submit a project plan (including budget details) using the template (available to download from the website), latest set of audited financial accounts, and any relevant policies

Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by e-mail unless they receive an unusually high volume of applications.

The closing date for applications is Monday 05 May 2025.
