    Living and working in a rural area offers so many exiting prospects to develop unique and fulfilling volunteer roles, but it isn’t without its challenges. Between limitations of transport networks, ensuring accessibility in outdoor environments and harsh weather, there are many factors to contend with. Sometimes just getting the word out about your programme can face unforeseen hurdles that even the best laid plans may struggle to overcome.

    Make Your Mark heard from Jess Wise, Discovery and Learning Programme Manager at RZSS' Highland Wildlife Park, about how they're developing a new and improved volunteer programme in the heart of the Cairngorms. She shared their successes as well as lessons learnt.
