It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

This free in-person lunchtime event is aimed at people studying for or working in plumbing and heating engineering trades. It’s a chance to meet local heat pump fitters, experts, and home owners to hear about how we’ll heat our homes in the future – and what it means for your career.

Food will be provided, and travel and childcare costs can be covered if required. Please e-mail [email protected] to find out more.

What to expect at the event:

    • There will be a panel discussion with guests who work in heating engineering – who are either already working with new technologies such as heat pumps, or who can see the potential of developments in green heating
    • Panel will discuss how the industry is changing and what opportunities there are for people coming into this area of work
    • Participants will also hear from a homeowner who has enjoyed a warm, comfortable home since switching from a gas boiler to a heat pump and can explain what it’s like to live with

After the discussion each of the experts will be available for a chat at tables around the venue. This will be a chance to grab some lunch and ask any question about future careers, training, technology, and more.

    Guests include:

    • Steven Kiakowski, CEO, Verdancy Training Group
    • Arran Donald, Installations Manager and Jordi Duncan, Qualified Apprentice, IMS Heat Pumps, Perth
    • Scott Sanford, Technical Services and Skills Manager, SNIPEF
