    Following the recent news from the Scottish Household Survey that the formal adult volunteering rate in Scotland has dropped by 4% between 2022 and 2023, Volunteer Scotland has released their Strategy for 2025-2030: Creating a Nation of Volunteers.

    The key aims of the strategy are as follows:

    • A nation of volunteers
    • Scots volunteer early and throughout life
    • Volunteers represent their communities
    • Volunteers feel safe, valued and heard
    • Volunteering is understood and valued
    • Influencing key decision makers
    • VIOs provide good and safe experiences
    • Managers seek to improve their skills
    • Impactful new volunteering practice
