The Scottish Government has published an analysis of views shared in the recent consultation on the support available to young people as they leave care and enter adulthood.
The consultation considered the various experiences of young people leaving care, including planning and preparation, continuing care, aftercare, health and wellbeing support, education, employment, and housing. It also considered how different groups of people leaving care may be uniquely affected by changes to the current support and services available.
The consultation was open to all members of the public and especially sought the views of young people with care experience, kinship or foster families, the birth families of young people with care experience, and those across the care sector and beyond who support young people with care experience during their transition into adulthood.
