  • Public Health Scotland publishes four-year Research Strategy

    Created: 23/01/2025
News/Events Category: Health and Social Care

Research is a key part of Public Health Scotland's role and is needed to generate and translate evidence underpinning policies and strategies to secure and improve health and healthcare systems.

    The strategy aims to:

    • Demonstrate the importance and value of research and our commitment to public health research
    • Set out the vision for research within PHS
    • Outline what is needed to achieve our vision of PHS being a known and renowned organisation that undertakes, leads, facilitates and enables high-quality research

It builds on research work that has already been carried out and has received positive feedback from partners and stakeholders.
