It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

FVA’s Third Sector Employability Conversations (TSEC) are a space for third sector partners to share their experiences, make connections and share their vision for Fife's employability landscape.

We are delighted that at this quarter's Third Sector Employability Conversation will welcome:

    • Nicola Masterton, Ryan Hepburn and Samantha Dick from Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) - who will tell all about how DYW helps young people make the jump from school to work, and what the pitfalls and “guiderails” in engaging with employers can look like.

There will also be an opportunity to talk about how we can “join the dots” between the valuable work of DYW and the needs/aspirations/work/outcomes of third sector employability partners in Fife in supporting young people – it’s recognised at a strategic level that we all need stronger connections between the Fife employability pathway and others who are building the future’s workforce.  We will talk about:

    • Referrals, communication and enriched partnership opportunities with DYW,
    • Sharing intelligence, and,
    • How to strengthen the holistic, wrap-around care that we know our clients need and expand the supported journey.

    We will also welcome:

    • Louise Park from Fife Gingerbread to showcase how Fife Gingerbread approach employer engagement. The Lone Parent, Poverty & Work project creates meaningful and sustainable recruitment opportunities for lone parents and families, while also supporting local employers to think creatively in their approach to recruitment. Parental employability must be done differently, and employers are a key part of the solution. Louise will cover aspects of the project including guaranteed interview schemes and paid placements.

Young people’s employability is a substantial part of almost every third sector partner in the Fife employability network, so we are also delighted to welcome:

    • Lynzy Moutter, (Destinations Coordinator) who oversees Education’s Opportunities for All Network, who will help us understand how schools in Fife identify and support young people vulnerable to future joblessness, and how this can map into referral post-education.
