Coastal Change Adaptation Health & Wellbeing Questionnaire
Created: 28/10/2024Fife Council is carrying out a research project into the Coastal Adaptation project funded through the Scottish Government's Coastal Adaptation Budget. Fife Council have commissioned the researchers at the Scottish Rural College to investigate the health and wellbeing phase of the project.
They have selected three case study areas to focus on in Fife:
The research will include a questionnaire for the public which aims to collect information about how people use the coastal areas mentioned above, and what factors may limit public use of these areas.
The results will be considered alongside information about predicted physical climate change impacts for the coastline (e.g. sea level rise or coastal erosion) to work out how the current use of the areas may be affected by climate change impacts. The research will inform plans for managing climate change adaptation in coming years.
Complete the questionnaire
The questionnaire can be completed online.
Full details of the survey and contact details can be found in the link above.
If you think this study is in line with the aims of your organisation, please share the link to the questionnaire.
Interviews
The team is also interested in carrying out a small number of interviews with practitioners or experienced members of the community. They are looking for participants who may be able to provide an overview of how they see the case study areas being used by the public, and who may be able to comment on the impacts that a number of climate change scenarios might have.
If you'd like to take part in the interview process, please e-mail lead researcher, Carly Maynard on [email protected] or the project manager Amee Scott on [email protected]
