It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

With near consensus among scientists that climate change is real and caused by human activity, you might now be more likely to hear people say "ok, climate change is real, but it's too late so why bother doing anything?".

How do you respond to your own internal dialogue or statements from other people saying "it's too late, so what's the point?".

In this one-hour session you'll explore some strategies for responding to attitudes of defeatism and hopelessness that can be obstacles to action on climate change. There’s no single or easy answer – so if you’ve found something that’s worked for you, come and share it with the group.

The session is fully interactive, with a short presentation, and a discussion of different approaches.

About the presenter: Kirsty Heron is Programme Lead for SCCAN's Climate for Change programme. She is motivated by ways of communicating that build bridges between people to find common ground and a hope for the future.
