The Fife Meaningful Activity Network (FMAN) would like to invite staff who have a role in supporting older adults in care homes and care settings to their second network meeting. This will be an in-person event.

    Purpose of event

To continue to grow the Fife Meaningful Activity Network, creating a supportive space for staff who work with older adults in care or community settings across Fife, to share good practice, learn together and solve problems.

    Outline of session

Sharing and networking: They would like each participant to bring along one photograph of a meaningful activity example from their workplace to be able to share what you're doing to promote meaningful activities in your setting.

Workshop: A short workshop about promoting physical activity to help older people to keep doing the things that matter to them, to stay connected, and keep active.

    Who should attend?

The network is aimed at staff working in care homes or care settings. They'd welcome:

    • Care staff and activity coordinators with responsibility for organising and delivering meaningful activities
    • Team managers or managers with responsibility for implementing quality improvement around meaningful activity and wellbeing
    • Any staff with an interest in promoting meaningful engagement, wellbeing and improving quality of life for older adults experiencing care
