    Post: Administrator
    Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £23,000 per annum + 6% contribution to pension scheme
Location: Greener Kirkcaldy's base at 8 East Fergus Place, Kirkcaldy

Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity working locally to bring people together, take positive action on the climate emergency and support people through fuel poverty and food insecurity. They deliver a range of projects, events and skills training to achieve the needs and goals of local people - building resilience as a community and working towards a future where everyone can live better and tread more lightly on our planet.

Based in the heart of Kirkcaldy - with a community building, training kitchen, bike shop and garden - they carry out activities across Kirkcaldy and work with partners to deliver projects across Fife.

Please find the full information about this role and the application form on their website.

    The role

Greener Kirkcaldy is looking for the right person to join them as a permanent, full-time Administrator. You will be the first point of contact for visitors to their community building. You'll be responsible for making people feel welcome and engaged. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will have a key role in their Core Team and supporting other teams in the organisation.

Greener Kirkcaldy is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised person who can grow into the role. You don't need to be an expert in climate change or have significant experience of administration - they will provide the training you need and a great team to support you.

The post-holder will be subject to a Disclosure Scotland check.

    Working at Greener Kirkcaldy

They want Kirkcaldy to be a good place to live and work. They want a future where everyone has a say in what happens locally, people are working together to protect the environment and those in hardship are supported to live well. That includes staff and volunteers.

Working at Greener Kirkcaldy involves being part of a positive, collaborative and social team. Their culture is really important to them. They promote equality, diversity and openness. They have a strong focus on staff wellbeing and development. They also encourage staff to use initiative and come up with ideas.

    Benefits

    • Flexible and hybrid working
    • Enhanced maternity, paternity and sick pay
    • Wellbeing, training and development opportunities
    • Social events

    Inclusion and diversity

Greener Kirkcaldy want to be an inclusive and diverse charity. People should feel supported, valued and able to be themselves. They take part in Fife Centre for Equalities' Equality Pathfinders programme. They also take part in the Race Equality Environmental Programme facilitated by CEMVO Scotland. Greener Kirkcaldy's Equalities Action Plan sets out the steps they are taking to improve diversity and inclusion.

To achieve their vision of Kirkcaldy as a greener and fairer place to live, they need a diverse team. They encourage applications from people of any background. They know the sector particularly lacks staff and volunteers with Minority Ethnic backgrounds and disabled people. If you come from a minority ethnic background or you have a disability, they encourage you to apply.

If you need more support to complete your application or take part in the recruitment process, please contact Office Manager Dianne Girvan [email protected]
