This event is being organised by Fife Meaningful Activity Network
This particular event is free to attend, so no payment is required.

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

The Fife Meaningful Activity Network have arranged for Age Scotland to deliver an in person workshop in Fife for staff and volunteers working with older adults.

This interactive workshop will introduce you to Age Scotland's fun active games for older people to develop strength and balance, demonstrating how you can build activity in a fun and sociable way.

Research shows that adding a little extra physical activity into daily routines makes it more likely that someone will enjoy a long and healthy life, and that it’s never too late to start.

Age Scotland offer fun active games training for Body Boosting Bingo and Power Quiz.  These games incorporate light physical movements that develop strength, balance and flexibility in older adults, and that are based on research evidence. Click here to read more about the game.

    The training will cover:

    • Strength and balance - why they matter for later life, and how our games help
    • An introduction to the games and an overview of the thinking behind them
    • An opportunity to try leading a game
    • How to plan safe and enjoyable games sessions for older people
    • Accessing the games resource
    • Keeping in touch and ongoing support

There are two sessions in one day, with 20 places available in each session.

Click here to book your place.
