    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance
This item will show under the following categories: Children and Families

The Triangle Trust 1949 run two grant rounds each year. The current round of funding is aimed at projects that are focused on young women and girls who already have a history of offending or who are at high risk of registering a first offence. They are looking to support work that specifically aims to reduce the likelihood of a young woman or girl either entering the criminal justice system or reoffending and support them to move on positively with their lives.

They will fund work taking place with young women and girls aged between 11 and 30 and will only consider applications from organisations that exist solely to support the wellbeing and welfare of women and girls. Funding can only be used to work with young women and girls who have been in the criminal justice system or who are at a high risk of entering it, even if your organisation works with vulnerable young women and girls more broadly.

    Fund award sizes

    Maximum: £80,000

Notes on award amounts: Grants of up to £80,000 over two years are available. A maximum of £40,000 per year can be requested.

    Who can apply

They will prioritise applications from organisations that exist solely to support the wellbeing and welfare of women and girls, but will consider applications from those that can demonstrate that at least 80% of their beneficiaries are women and girls. This applies to beneficiaries of the whole organisation and not just to specific projects.

All organisations must be working in the UK with a UK office and have an annual income of less than £1 million to be eligible to apply.

    Maximum annual income: £1,000,000

    How to apply

There is a two-stage application process involving an online application followed by an assessment visit. Full details are available via the Trust website.

The closing date for applications is 11.59pm on Wednesday 30 October 2024. Shortlisted applicants will be notified by mid-December, with final decisions made by the end of March 2025.
